National cupcake week 12th-18th September

Its national cupcake week!
Heres a old recipe I found in Womans life magazine from 1932, it was my great-great auntie's

Cupcakes

Ingredients:
Half a pound of plain flour
Two level teaspoonfuls of baking powder
Half a teaspoon of salt
Four ounces of butter
Six ounces of sugar
Two eggs, well beaten
Quarter of a pint of milk
One teaspoonful of lemon or vanilla extract

Method:
Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Beat the butter to a cream, add the sugar, and beat in the eggs. Then add the flour alternately with the milk, beating till smooth after each addition; add the flavouring. Pour into greased tin patty pans or cups, and bake in a moderate oven (No.5 in the Junior New World Cooker, or at 350 degrees F)
